Well, this car is automatic, it’s systematic, it’s hydromatic, why it’s a star-studded lineup of Broadway creatives seeking the top high school talent to perform in a summer production of the hit mega-musical, GREASE! Auditions are now open for this staged production, designed to give professional-level experience and training to local rising stars, and offer artistic development for youth by working with a Broadway creative team with decades of professional experience from the Great White Way.

Midland Center for the Arts is bringing the magic and fantasy of Bikini Bottom to the stage this spring with The SpongeBob Musical and is seeking members of the community to audition for this spring production with Center Stage Theatre, the national award-winning community theatre company based in Midland.
Midland Area Community Foundation Awards Grant to Midland Center for the Arts
It has been 19 months since the devastating floods in Midland County, and organizations like Midland Center for the Arts are continuing to recover from the immense damages it caused to their facilities. While the Center has continued to offer the community enriching exhibitions of science, art and history in a temporary space, they have been working to secure resources necessary to repair and upgrade its many facilities including the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art.
Midland Area Community Foundation Awards COVID Relief Grant to Midland Center for the Arts
As the doors to the Auditorium at Midland Center for the Arts continue to remain closed as a result of the International pandemic, the community and local foundations have stepped forward to support Midland’s cultural destination while opportunities to draw in normal revenue are extremely limited. Thanks to the leadership of the Midland Area Community Foundation, Midland Center is the latest recipient of a COVID Relief grant in the amount of $30,000 for their focus area, Enriching our Community.

Midland Center for the Arts Welcomes New Manager of Produced Theatre and Theatre Education
Midland Center for the Arts has announced the addition of Travis Kendrick as the new Manager of Produced Theatre and Theatre Education. Kendrick comes to the Center as a professional director, choreographer and educator, having most recently served as the Director of Education for Mill Mountain Theatre and Visiting Faculty Member for both Hollins University and Virginia tech.
