The Ultimate Disney Cover Band Brings Night of Movie Classics to Outdoor Stage at Midland Center for the Arts

It doesn’t matter your age, when the music from your favorite childhood movie plays, you instantly put a smile on your face and begin to sing along. That is exactly the sensation audiences will feel at Midland Center for the Arts when The Little Mermen perform on the outdoor stage on July 23 at 6:30 p.m. Founded by singer-songwriter Alexis Babini, The Little Mermen is an electrifying Disney cover band with the intention to fuel nostalgia and happiness across generations who still adore the magical world of Disney. With hits ranging from Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs all the way to Encanto in their repertoire, The Little Mermen have a song for everyone during their upcoming performance on July 23. Tickets are now on sale at midlandcenter.org or by calling the Ticket Office at 989-631-8250.

In addition to Babini, The Little Mermen are comprised of a talented cast of musicians and Disney princesses ready to rock their heart out to the revamped classics. Each band member performs in a complete character costume and encourages singing along, truly catapulting the audience into the wonderous Disney universe.

Based in NYC, The Little Mermen have attracted national attention from many well-established outlets as the premiere Disney cover experience. In 2015, Buzzfeed described their music and performance quality as “freaking adorable” after they gave an intimate rendition of “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid in New York City. The band has also been praised by Time Out New York for “…An enchanting evening” and ABC News for bringing “the romance to New York City.”

The Little Mermen have even received approval from the highly-regarded Disney composer, Alan Menken. Menken, who was the music composer for films including Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Tarzan, came out to see their show and gave them his blessing, stating “Go Mermen!”

Whether you are a young fan who is just beginning to fall in love with Disney or you have been an admirer for many years, this concert is the perfect opportunity to sing along to your favorite Disney tunes and enjoy a night of nostalgic magic.
