Camerata / Sounds of Spain

Featuring acclaimed Brazilian classical guitarist Dr. Felipe Vargas Magdaleno, the Camerata Singers will perform Romancero Gitano by Spanish composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, an evocative work inspired by the poetry of Federico García Lorca. These early 20th-century poems, translated as Gypsy Ballads, reflect the beauty, struggle, and spirit of life in Andalusia. With bold rhythms and passionate harmonies, the music captures the soul of people living on the edges of society. Conducted by Dr. Letícia Grützmann, the performance also features the Midland Center Chorale.

Lovett's live performances show not only the breadth of this Texas legend's deep talents, but also the diversity of his influences, making him one of the most compelling and captivating musicians in popular music.
