Kevin Scorsone from Tri-Star Trust
Kevin and his family in THE INFINITE

When you ask Kevin Scorsone why Tri-Star Trust sponsors the Midland Symphony Orchestra, he doesn’t start with impressions or visibility. He begins with the people.

“I always go back to our higher purpose,” Kevin says. “Build genuine, caring relationships that strengthen families and transform communities.” It’s the compass Tri-Star Trust uses to decide where and how to invest, and it’s a perfect match for the Center’s mission.

Kevin’s connection to the arts began early, thanks to his mom. A childhood museum trip once landed him in the local paper, and today, he still visits the Detroit Institute of Arts with her. It’s also why experiences at the Center feel personal. When THE INFINITE landed in Midland, Kevin traveled to space three times. Once with three generations of his family. “My daughter and son are comfortable with VR. My 82-year-old mom? Not so much,” he laughs. “But we all had a blast. She kept saying she might fall into space. It was pure joy.”

Since 2018, Tri-Star Trust’s presence in Midland has expanded from 7 to 25 team members. That growth highlights their commitment to show up where people gather, learn, and create.

Sponsoring the Midland Symphony Orchestra also opens doors to conversation. “I’ll be at events and folks mention seeing Tri-Star Trust in the program or hearing Matt’s shout-out from the stage,” Kevin says. “It’s a great, human way to connect.”

Kevin is equally excited about what’s ahead. “I can’t wait for the moment you walk through the front doors and see the museum,” he says, picturing the renovation which includes openings from the lobby to the galleries below. “It’s going to be really special.”

His message to other businesses is simple. The return is real, on paper and in people. “Not every impact shows up as someone saying, ‘I chose you because of your sponsorship.’ But the Center does a phenomenal job sharing audience numbers, feedback, and outcomes. And the community impact? You feel that immediately.”

And his message to audiences. Support the partners who support the arts. “When you see a sponsor’s name, Tri-Star Trust, MBS Airport, Dow, and so many others, remember they’re investing in your experiences. Doing business with the businesses that lift up the arts keeps this whole ecosystem strong.”

As Kevin puts it, the impact is real, and you can feel it.
