It’s time to get’cha head in the game and bring out your inner Wildcat for the upcoming production of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL on the Center’s Outdoor Stage, June 23 – 25. When it comes to battling stress and anxiety, Bari Koral has discovered powerful tools through yoga and mindfulness to teach families all around the globe. A beloved children’s recording artist and internationally recognized kids yogi, Bari Koral teaches tens of thousands of parents, children and teachers each and every day through her music – and she is bringing an interactive concert to the outdoor stage at Midland Center for the Arts on June 11.
Midland County Historical Society Turns Back Time with Cemetery Tour of Sanford Civil War Veterans
In 1865, the American Civil War officially came to an end, the conclusion of a four-year battle over the status of slavery in the United States. Several of those civil war veterans that called Midland County their home are at the center of the upcoming guided Cemetery Tour on behalf of the Midland County Historical Society.
Midland Center and Great Lakes Bay Pride Partner for Screening of Documentary About Michigan Gay Rights Activist
While the past few decades have prompted radical change in the perception of the LGBTQIA+ community to achieve equality, none of this progress would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of gay rights activists. One particular standout in Michigan is Jeffrey Montgomery. In the feature-length documentary, AMERICA YOU KILL ME, Montgomery dives into his life and impact fighting for gay rights across the country.
