America 250: Reading the Declaration of Independence

Free to Attend, Located at Grace A. Dow Memorial Library's Auditorium
Join the Historical Society in the Library Auditorium for an annotated reading of the American Declaration of Independence, presented by historian and adjunct professor Christina De Clerck-Szilagyi.
This section-by-section program will offer additional context around the Declaration, the ideas it presents and the historical moment in which it was written. A Q&A session will follow.
At 6 PM, community members from across Midland County will read the Declaration in its entirety, reflecting the diversity of America and the voices that continue to shape our community today.
This program is co-sponsored by the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, Midland County Historical Society of Midland Center for the Arts, Daughters of the American Revolution - John Alden Chapter, Midland Area Community Foundation, Sanford Historical Society, Coleman Historical Society, Edenville Museum, Veterans Coalition, and America 250 Celebration.
