MIDLAND, MI – Midland Center for the Arts is proud to announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors. Bringing a dynamic array of professional experiences and each a strong commitment to our region, the new directors will help guide the Center as it continues to expand programming and advance its transformational renovation.
Newly Appointed Board Members:
- Debra Bauler – Debra Bauler – Bauler joined Dow as Chief Information & Digital Officer in 2023, bringing with her more than 30 years of experience in global technology leadership and digital transformation. She is recognized for her strategic vision in technology and business transformation and for successfully guiding large-scale teams through complex change.
- Katherine Boothroyd – Katherine is an attorney at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP who specializes in commercial, environmental, and appellate litigation. Katherine has assisted clients in several high-profile cases in state, federal, and appellate courts, as well as administrative tribunals. As a polyglot and former judicial clerk for the Hon. David F. Viviano of the Michigan Supreme Court, Katherine uses her unique skills and experience to position her clients for the best outcomes.
- Pankaj Jandwani, M.D., M.M.M., C.H.C.H.I.O. – Dr. Jandwani is Vice President and CIO for MyMichigan Health, and is a physician leader nationally recognized for innovation in health care delivery and provider well-being. His leadership has driven major initiatives in virtual care, electronic medical record implementation, and new models of care including Tele-ICU and Hospital at Home.
- Sarah Opperman – A business and community leader, Opperman chairs the Isabella Bank Corporation Board of Directors. She previously worked at Dow for almost 30 years, retiring as vice president of Global Government Affairs and Public Policy. She also serves on the boards of the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation and the Michigan Baseball Foundation.

The new directors join Midland Center for the Arts at a time of remarkable momentum. With construction underway on the reimagined Museum, the Center continues to present a full season of live performances, exhibitions, and educational programs.
