Introduction to Drawing

This drawing class focuses on introducing and sharpening basic drawing skills for pre-teens and teenagers.  Contour line, linear perspective, basic color usage and abstract techniques will be covered.  This is a great way to explore new ways of seeing the world around through observational drawing.

Portfolio Review Workshop

Ready for art school?  Not sure?  Have your portfolio reviewed and find out how ready you are!  Feedback will be given, along with suggestions of what your portfolio may be lacking.  If you are early in your high school art study and want to get a jump on your portfolio, this may be helpful for you as well.

Introduction to Painting

This class will introduce concepts for both beginners and intermediate children. Students will be introduced to color theory, various painting mediums and some of the most famous styles in art history, including Cubism and Impressionism.  Students will have the opportunity to explore landscapes, still life, and more.

Musical Theatre Intensive

This program, designed for high school musical theatre students is a weekend intensive featuring personalized interactions with world-class faculty. Utilizing Zoom, students will work in small breakout sessions with our master teachers, who have extensive experience on Broadway and beyond, and will be able to develop consistent and meaningful relationships with the instructors. This is the perfect way for a prospective musical theatre major to prepare for upcoming collegiate auditions.

Young Explorers! Ages 1 - 3

Join us for a bi-weekly play and learn date with Midland Center for the Arts! Young Explorers begins at 9:30 AM for infants and toddlers ages 1 to 3 and their caregivers. We explore with stories, science and art themed activities.
