Audiences can expect to witness such mega illusions as passing through the spinning blades of an industrial fan, a record-breaking recreation of Houdini’s most famous stunt, and the appearance of a real helicopter, live on stage. Step into a “wondrous time machine” and celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Music That Ended WWII! Featuring the iconic tunes of Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Jordan, the Andrews Sisters, Danny Kaye, Dinah Shore, and more, Davina & The Vagabonds and Hot Club of Cowtown bring to vibrant life the sounds that filled 1940s dance halls. Combining “a modern day, female version of Louis Armstrong” (Elmore Magazine) with the “timing, swing, and chemistry of three virtuoso musicians” (Guitarist Magazine), this Minnesota-based blues/jazz band and hot jazz Texas trio take audiences back to a time when songs stormed the airwaves. More details and video.
