Drawing people and especially faces is a useful skill that comes in handy for all different types of art. In this class, we will learn basic techniques for facial proportions, shading skin and hair and working with subjects of different ages and skin tones. For the first 4 weeks we will work on assignments together step-by-step, and for the last 2 weeks each student will choose their own portrait project to work on independently in class with guidance and advice. No prior experience needed. Students must provide all their own tools and materials.
