Midland Center for the Arts is looking for actors ages 12 and up for roles in Center Stage Theatre's upcoming production of Sense & Sensibility!

About the Play / When the Dashwood sisters are left penniless, they must navigate a world where wealth rules love and reputation is everything. Caught between romance and reality, Elinor and Marianne face heartbreak, humor, and the highs and lows of sisterhood in this bold, witty adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic.

Youth Theatre

Youth Theatre offers opportunities both onstage and backstage, from acting and singing to makeup, props, scenery, and costumes. Rehearsals are designed as a learning experience, with workshops and activities that build skills in performance and technical theatre.

Rising Stars is designed for current High School students, including rising ninth graders through current graduating seniors, who will work through an intensive rehearsal process and star in a hit musical.

Midland Center for the Arts is looking for actors in grades 6 - 12 for roles in our Youth Theatre production of The Emperor's New Clothes!

About the Play / In this colorful and comedic Youth Theatre play, two con artists arrive in town with a daring plan to swindle a vain Emperor who just can’t get enough of his own wardrobe. The Emperor’s New Clothes is a laugh-out-loud tale of vanity, honesty, and the courage to speak the truth.

Do you love singing, but have little time to dedicate to it? Consider joining the Midland Center Chorale! Chorale features beautiful voices and engaging, stunning repertoire, under the direction of new Conductor Dr. Letícia Grützmann! The Chorale rehearses Mondays from 7-9 PM at the Center.

The Youth Honor Choirs Program is dedicated to nurturing the development of young singers through education and performance while encouraging a lifelong appreciation for participation in and enjoyment of music. We're excited to start the next season with Vocalise, for grades 3-8.

Midland Symphony Orchestra Auditions

Midland Symphony Orchestra (MSO) has provided mid-Michigan with continuous symphonic music since 1936. Along with concerts featuring renowned guest artists, the MSO also provides educational opportunities through its partnerships with area schools, scholarships, music appreciation initiatives and guest artist master classes and residencies. Midland Symphony Orchestra will hold auditions for its 2025/26 season.

Auditions on THU, OCT 30, will be held for open positions: 2nd Clarinet, 2nd Horn, and Principal Timpani.
Auditions on SUN, NOV 2, will be held for open positions: Assistant Concertmaster, Section Violin, Principal Viola, Principal Cello, and Principal Bass.

Auditions will last approximately 10 minutes and include required excerpts, solo selection(s), and possible sight-reading. A full schedule will be shared 3 days prior to each audition date.

To reserve a time, registration and a $25 refundable deposit must be received by OCT 27, 2025. Checks should be mailed to 1801 W. Saint Andrews, Midland, MI 48640, and will be returned at the conclusion of the audition. Required repertoire, excerpts, and the application form can be found below. Performance Opportunities

Golden Guild

Golden Guild performs in area senior activity centers, residences, and care facilities in May, June, October, November, and December each year. Performances are approximately 35-45 minutes in length.
