Venue Areas Available to Rent
Community Rooms
Overlooking Dow Gardens, our newly renovated and expanded Community Rooms offer a bright, flexible setting for meetings, receptions, luncheons and celebrations of up to 160 guests.
Auditorium Stage
Host up to 250 guests for a dinner or reception onstage, with the full 1,500-seat Auditorium as your backdrop.
Red Carpet Lobby
Welcome up to 160 guests for lectures, expos, cocktail receptions and more in this open, adaptable setting.
Little Theater
Seat up to 400 guests for a presentation or conference, or use the stage to host an event.
Coming Soon: Hall of Ideas
Bring up to 350 guests together inside the new Hall of Ideas, surrounded by creativity and curiosity. The space is designed to host receptions, networking events and family celebrations. Booking is not yet available.

Our in-house hospitality team will work with you to create a menu and experience that fit your event.
Customized Catering / Our culinary team creates menus around your tastes, style and event.
Creative Add-Ons / Add live music, an art experience or a private Hall of Ideas tour.

Birthday Parties in the Museum
Coming soon! Celebrate with time to gather, eat cake and explore the Museum together. Birthday party packages include a private room, a party host, black tablecloths and Museum admission for up to 20 children and adults. Hall of Ideas rental and birthday-party booking dates will be announced after the Museum opens.

Reservations open three months before the requested party date.

Up to 15 additional guests may be added at 10% off standard Museum admission. Parties may include no more than 35 guests.

You may bring tablecloths and decorations, but no confetti, party poppers, glitter or piñatas. Tape and other adhesives cannot be used on painted walls.

Food and cake must be prepared in a professional kitchen. Birthday candles are welcome, but refrigerator and freezer storage are not available.

The Museum will remain open to the public. Children must be accompanied by an adult while exploring.
