25 years ago a new rock musical opened on Broadway that caught the attention of people across the nation, becoming a pop culture sensation for generations to come. Jonathan Larson’s landmark musical, RENT, transformed the lives of many and we’ve brought together cast members in the original Broadway company, Off-Broadway production and National Tours to celebrate the anniversary and learn how the show shaped their careers. Join Midland Center for a virtual night of La Vie Boheme for a few wild, backstage stories, and performances from several cast members.
RENT, is a snapshot of East Village counterculture in the early 1990’s, a moving portrait of the AIDS pandemic, and the zeitgeist musical for Generation X.
