Young Explorers Workshops

Join us for a monthly learn and play workshop for ages 2-5!

OCT 5, 2022

October will focus on Falling Leaves! Learn about the changing seasons through the eyes of a sweet fox as we read Fletcher and the Falling Leaves by Julia Rawlinson. After story time, we will use fall leaves to create our own fall animal artwork!

NOV 2, 2022

Join us in November for Perfect Pies! Celebrate the season and join Midland Center for the Arts as we read Peyton Picks the Perfect Pie by Jack Bishop. We will explore our sense of taste and create our own perfect pie pictures!

DEC 7, 2022

December will bring us Polar OppositesJoin us as we read Polar Opposites by Eric Brooks. We will practice our skills identifying opposites and patterns as we learn about polar animals. 

JAN 4, 2023

Join us in January for Blue Penguin! Waddle and sing in this interactive workshop! We will read Blue Penguin by Petr Horacek and practice our gross motor skills through musical play.

FEB 1, 2023

Join us in February for Imagination Builders! What will YOU make today? Explore the world of imagination as we read Be a Maker by Katey Howes. After storytime, we will create blueprint artwork and practice pattern identification with building blocks.

MAR 1, 2023

In March, we Shoot for the Stars! The sky’s the limit! Join us as we listen to the story of a young girl who dreams of growing up to be an astronaut in Mae Among the Stars by Roda Ahmed. We will create our own unique rocketships and explore planets and stars in a sensory activity!

APR 5, 2023

Join us in April for Magnificent Makers! Learn about perseverance as we read The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires. Students will build their own robot artworks from recycled materials and become engineers for the day!

MAY 3, 2023

May brings us Feathers for PheobeCelebrate the return of spring birds as we read Feathers for Phoebe by Rod Clement.  We will practice our matching skills in a special sensory activity before building a unique bird headband!
