The Teacher Advisory Group will support the Center’s efforts to deepen educational impact in history, visual art, science, and performing arts through its insight, expertise, and advocacy. The Teacher Advisory Group will provide feedback and input in relation to current programs, communication materials, educator resources, and future program development. The Teacher Advisory Group will support the Center’s Education Department by meeting 2-3 times throughout the school year for discussion sessions at the Center and will also be asked to participate in surveys and review educational materials.

Commitment

  • One school year commitment
  • Attend 2-3 meetings per year
  • Patriciate in periodic surveys, offer input on materials and programs, attend occasional pilot program feedback sessions
  • Remain up-to-date on Center education offerings in order be an advocate in the community

 

How to Join

  • Interested teachers should email the Midland Center for the Arts at education@midlandcenter.org with:
    • Description of current role, including grade level(s) taught and subject taught
    • Current school name and district
    • List of past experience with the Midland Center for the Arts
