Masks are Currently Required Inside Midland Center

During our 50th Anniversary Celebration Season, we are all doing our part to create a safe environment for everyone at the Center. Masks are required at all times when inside the Center, including at the Museum Exhibits for people 2 years and older. This precaution protects you, our patrons, volunteers, artists, students and staff.

STEM & History Exhibits

The Hall of Ideas and the upper floors of the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art continue to remain closed due to flood damage to our facility, we are bringing interactive and hands-on STEM & History Exhibits to the Lounge. Join us for one of the exhibits below:

FRI 12 - 4 PM, SAT 10 AM - 2 PM and SUN 12 - 4 PM
$3 per person and FREE for Museum Members

Biomes of the World

JAN 21 - MAY 29, 2022

Explore the major biomes around the world including the aquatic, forests, grasslands, desert and tundra. Each biome will include information on the plants, animals and the unique characteristics that make these biomes different from each other. There will be live animal ambassadors in some of the biomes for visitors to learn more about the different species that make these biomes their home.

This exhibit is in partnership with Chippewa Nature Center and sponsored by Three Rivers Corporation and QRP.

Spark!Lab® Smithsonian

Spark!Lab is a unique hands-on learning lab where visitors of all ages can explore what it means to be an inventor. Participants use their knowledge and provided materials to answer open-ended challenges. Creativity and collaboration abound in this safe space where if you fail it is just a first attempt in learning!
